Abstract

More than four centuries it took to eliminate the figure of the Cuban legal executioner and therefore the city of Santiago de Cuba. Throughout this long period formed the figure of Cuban torturer, shaped by the subjectivity of the individual and the social circumstances in which it develops. From a marginal pattern, racist and criminal this article aims to explain the formation of one of the most unique in the administration of justice in the second city of Cuba. Which is not unlike the rest of their kind in Cuban colonial society, where cultural events, political and social condition of the typical action figure, a victim of his own condition.
