Abstract

DECIANCIO, Melisa. The School of Law and Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires in the history of Argentina's international relations. Rev. hist. derecho [online]. 2016, n.52, pp.31-63. ISSN 1853-1784.

This paper analyzes the contribution of Public International Law to the process of construction of the Argentine IR field since the constitution of the Nation-State, with special focus on the role of the School of Law and Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires. Enclosed in a broader study that seeks to answer the more general question about "how the process of constitution of the field of International Relations (IR) is developed as an autonomous academic discipline in Argentina", the article will highlight the impetus that International Law gave to the field in conceptual and institutional terms. In this context aims to delineate the process of autonomization of the field of IR and the diverse axes from where an independent thought about the discipline in the country was constructed.

Keywords : International Law - International Relations - Intellectual History - Law School.
