PICOTTI, Dina. The Essential Function of Utopia. Cuyo-anu. filos. argent. am. [online]. 2016, vol.33, n.1, pp.37-47. ISSN 1853-3175.

The work Utopia of T. More refers to a fundamental aspect of human nature, the scope of imaginative creation that always transcends reality and permits us to project and achieve other realizations. Philosophers such as Kant, Marx and Ricoeur referred to this central character of utopia. Other authors mentioned its presence in the peoples' imaginary, especially from Our America, as a form of resistance and demand of recognition.
