Abstract

CATZ, Shirly. Murena and the metaphoric community. Cuyo-anu. filos. argent. am. [online]. 2017, vol.34, n.1, pp.33-48.  Epub May 05, 2021. ISSN 1853-3175.

Transferring the opposition between comparison and image to the world of politics, we will affirm that the simile appears as the essential figure of a mythical community concept, while the metaphor, instead, is presented as the way of being-in-common of every impolitical community. Then, we will take these thoughts to the Latin American sphere, to analyze the possibility of a "metaphoric community" as our most characteristic way. Facing a fragmentary world, the originality of H. A. Murena seems to be to continue betting on a certain "transcendence", which manifests itself in language and poetry.

Keywords : Metaphor; Trascendence; Latin American Community, Impolitic.
