Abstract

TELES DA SILVEIRA, Ronie Alexsandro. The Intellectual Work and the End of Innocence. Cuyo-anu. filos. argent. am. [online]. 2018, vol.35, n.2, pp.191-210.  Epub June 07, 2021. ISSN 1853-3175.

Innocence is one of the fundamental characteristics of intellectual work. It is a willingness to carry out evaluations initially unrelated to any particular set of values. This feature may clash with adverse cultural situations. The Brazilian environment exerts a considerable resistance to the intellectual work in function of its particularistic inclination. Some elements of postmodernity, such as the universalization of politics, also exert energy in the same direction, composing a very peculiar picture about contemporary intellectual activity in Latin America.

Keywords : Intellectual Work; Innocence; Latin America.
