Abstract

STEFANINI ZAVALLO, Valeria. Para hablar de mí: La apropiación que el arte hace de la moda para abordar el problema de la identidad de género. Cuad. Cent. Estud. Diseño Comun., Ens. [online]. 2013, n.44, pp.109-122. ISSN 1853-3523.

The contemporary art appeal repeatedly to a strategy of appropriation and aesthetic elements in today's world of fashion and beauty to work issues relating to identity. In Argentina we can investigate the work of various authors. Nicola Costantino, with their performative work, videos, his series of human fur, inhabited dresses by Fabiana Barreda and his works in collaboration with local designers, and urban and space interventions of the Public Women Collective Movement. All these experiences show different strategies through which art makes use not only of fashion industry productions but of this ways to speak about women, their bodies, their roles, their desires, their place in contemporary society, and their achievement strategies.

Keywords : Art; Art pose; Beauty; Body; Fashion.
