This paper aims to examine the relationship between new technologies, contemporary art and political activism. Consideration will be based on a conceptual basis for making art and new technologies as elements that are part of the "info-communications industries": media (newspapers, radio, broadcast TV and cable TV), other industries (graphic edition, phonography and cinematography), telecommunications industry (wireline and mobile) and finally Internet, which will analyze specific cases of political activism and art: Geert Lovink, Guerrilla Girls and Post Urban. The critical description of the effects that these practices of political activism supported by new technologies have on contemporary society, will be based on characteristic assumptions of the economic structure of contemporary society such as globalization, economic concentration, technological convergence and communications centralit. During the 90s, Geert Lovink emerged as one of the most prolific activists in the field of art and new information technologies. The particular case that will be analyzed from this research will be the "blogging" and its means to generate a critical political speech, regardless of multinational corporations.
