In this volume, called National identity. Cultural representations in Argentina and Serbia, a group of professionals present their research on some aspects related to the identities of those nations convened by the Faculty of Design and Communication at the University of Palermo, Argentina, and the Ethnographic Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. From the wide range of topics that make up this publication addresses the construction of identities through symbols that reinforce feelings of belonging, trying to return to cultural roots against globalizing mechanisms that tend to homogeneity. In these works, emerging from unequal socio-historical contexts, we analyze and think critically about how artistic (film, TV, photography, theater, design), anthropological and historical representations as well as scientific and technical education contribute to the process of construction and reconstruction of national identity.
