Reflecting on how design is taught and learned should be mandatory for those who are involved in these processes. Design education is a project, a hypothetical process - iterative, planned activity however should not miss the spontaneity of the moment of the class. The pedagogical project should not be neutral, the teacher has concepts about design features, how to learn it, which is its the theory and practice, and what are its limits. The project also addresses with an ideological concept of the student, teacher, content and evaluation. This essay attempts to raise questions and discussions about pedagogical practice and reflection, understanding knowledge as socially constructed, provisional and unfinished and understanting pedagogical practice as asymmetric, deliberate, intentional and decontextualized.
