In the last decade, there has been an increase in the importance that -from national and supranational structures, as well as from International Organizations- has been given to social innovation in Latin America. Driven by the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations, local and national governments have resorted to the creation of innovation policies and the application of design methodologies to generate produce significant social changes. This article offers a comparison of some of the supranational, state, regional and citizen experiences for innovation carried out in Latin America.
