Abstract

The article presents the results of a research process developed by the School of Interior Design of the Universidad del Pacífico, whose objective was to understand the process of design, production and construction of furniture and equipment for the revitalization of the Headquarters of the Villa Marta Brunet, in the sector of Bajos de Mena, municipality of Puente Alto, in Santiago de Chile.

The results achieved highlight the relevance and contribution of social design to the improvement of habitability and the quality of life of people living in contexts of vulnerability, the importance of a comprehensive approach that systematizes these processes, and the need to promote reflexivity and learning around disciplinary training.
