The article analyzes the practices associated with the digitization of textual contents in the educational field, particularly in university press. We will take as context the public management of the REUN (Network of University Publishers in Argentina) and the policies of improvement and professionalization of these institutions, which, coinciding with the installation of the digital paradigm in the publishing world -ebooks, ereaders, platforms of ebooks and digital publishing sales in Argentina and the region-, raise new questions: How are the university Press facing the digital paradigm? What digital tools are used to assemble your catalogs, disseminate and publish texts? Our benchmark for analysis will be the EUDEBA publishing house and the digital reader creation project “Boris”.
