Abstract

TORRES, Margarita Eva  and  GENOUD, María Gelly. Los fantasmas del artista: Infiernos cotidianos y lo que no pudo ser. Historia y memoria en la obra del pintor Esteban Marconi. Cuad. Cent. Estud. Diseñ. Comun., Ensayos [online]. 2021, n.92, pp.248-270.  Epub Aug 15, 2021. ISSN 1853-3523.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18682/cdc.vi92.3879.

This article reflects on how history, memory and art are linked, based on the testimony and work of the artist Esteban Marconi. The value of art is recovered as a political tool that can recover the past, deconstruct meanings and open new modes of perception. All this is the protagonist of the construction of social memory that is woven into a complex web of intersubjectivities that draws voices and stories from other times. Thus, the artist’s work has a double dimension: it is an individual creation that implies an other that receives it, who, in turn, reconstructs it in a dialectical game where meaning is alive, shared and resignified.
