Abstract

PEISAJOVICH, Sara. Desfile de moda: arte y performance. Cuad. Cent. Estud. Diseñ. Comun., Ensayos [online]. 2021, n.100, pp.85-98.  Epub Jan 05, 2021. ISSN 1853-3523.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18682/cdc.vi100.3987.

Within a contemporary cartography, where the author takes up the category of modern and reconfigures him/herself as a producer of ideas, of narratives, and where his/her main objective is to transmit the reading hypothesis proposed by his/her work, is where the rupturist fashion shows would be located. Contemporary art is presented in these discourses based on the key concept of hybridization and the self-referential character that invades each performative show. Thus, at the end of the twentieth century, this small cut-out within the abysmal fashion system ceases to be merely a meaningless functional object or a simple commercial tool in the pursuit of narrating the concept of the collection in a non-traditional way.

Keywords : Art; fashion; fashion show; performance; concept art; communication; design; art history..
