This article focuses on the trajectory of the publisher Ada Korn to make visible the contributions of women publishers to a History of the publishing world dominated by the names of men. Ada Korn, founded in 1984 with an inheritance and a disposition, also inherited, to find a niche -Argentine literary productions-, is valued for its quality and care. This publishing house seems to have anticipated the self-described independent publishing houses of the 90s and early 21st Century. This article builds the trajectory of Ada Korn, and the conditions of possibility for its emergence. The text concludes with questions to develop a research problem from a gendered viewpoint.
