The article is part of an ongoing investigation on the audiovisual representation of native peoples in Argentine history. It prepares a synthesis of thematic film productions, and then focuses on the analysis in documentaries made between 2010 and 2020. On these it is argued that they renew the historiophoty (White, 2010), expanding the audiovisual repertoire on Argentine history of 19th century. The construction of some of the recurring themes and motives they present is investigated: among them, the criticism of history and traditional sources, the economic motives of violence, social and scientific racism, and the questioning of museums.
