OULTON, María Luján  and  MATE, Diego. Prólogo. Cuad. Cent. Estud. Diseñ. Comun., Ensayos [online]. 2022, n.110, pp.11-15.  Epub June 01, 2022. ISSN 1853-3523.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18682/cdc.vi110.4057.

This notebook constitutes the second chapter of a process of visibilization and research initiated in 2018 by the University of Palermo and Game On! El arte en juego. The Institute of Research and Experimentation in Art and Criticism (IIEAC) of the National University of the Arts (UNA) has joined the project with the aim of promoting the national production of game studies. The leading theme of this edition revolves around the interplay of the video game with different areas of social practice. The nine articles compiled show the work of professionals mostly from outside the field of game studies who arrive at the video game motivated by the same concern: to give an account of the integration of video games in their respective areas of development.

Keywords : game studies; appropriation; culture; video games; society.
