Exploring the definition of sustainability as the possibility that humans and other lives will flourish on the planet forever (Ehrenfeld, 2015), the author reflects on her own experience in sustainable practices and in her role as educator, leader and author of the social project “The Travelling Sewing Box Project” © as a way to reflect that through empathy for the process itself we can create and develop narratives that can help build and empower identities which are in crisis.
