This research suggests a comparison between the economic model of endogenous development and the quadruple helix innovation model. Through the study of Argentine cases of great impact (period 1943-2019), the particularities regarding the role of society as collectives, individuals or members of a community and its ability to enrich the proposal of development-oriented policies are analyzed. In turn, Design is identified as a channel of knowledge and a synergistic potential factor in this relationship.
