The objective of this article is to show how globalization processes, through mass culture, transform the symbols and meanings of the design patterns and clothing production systems of urban indigenous women. For this, a bibliographic review is made on the influence of globalization on pre-Hispanic cultures and a graphic analysis of how the design and production of clothing items are being transformed is presented.
