Abstract
MARTURET, Virginia. #NiUnaMenos en Argentina, comunicación y desafíos del feminismo y más (Primera parte). Cuad. Cent. Estud. Diseñ. Comun., Ensayos [online]. 2023, n.117, pp.103-118. Epub Mar 01, 2023. ISSN 1853-3523. http://dx.doi.org/10.18682/cdc.vi117.4277.
Past: Over fifty years old from the French May has passed, and it continues to provoke hopes and anguishes, ghosts, nostalgia and praise. What happened? What was missing for us so that those yearning for change and leaving behind a past of wars, would not finish taking hold and producing that transformation that was intended to be achieved? And the women, what was their role in Argentina while all this was happening?
Present: In Argentina, the recognition of women's rights has been reached different achievements, both in legislative matters and in the level of compliance with them, in order to approach international standards of full validity of their rights.
As Simone de Beauvoir said: "feminism is a way of living individually and of fighting collectively". In Argentina, the #NiUnaMenos movement, in the world the #MeToo movements and others, are getting stronger and their mentions are more frequent in daily conversations in any field. Including LGTBIQ+. Whether virtual or face-to-face. How do we communicate? Is this change communicated?
Future of the Movements: The future is very promising for women worldwide, and Argentina will be no exception.
To Continue creating spaces where we can dialogue and build equal opportunities and rights, breaking the barriers that today have us in a place of nonrights.
There is so much to do! , but there is also a lot that was achieved in these years, without a doubt communication and its narrative, are key when transforming reality and thus, "be the change we want to see in the world." As Mahatma Gandhi aptly put it.
