In 2014, a series of interviews with Malva began, a 95 years old transvestite, an investigation from which the documentary Con nombre de flor would be carried out. Due to the sudden death of its protagonist a few days before shooting, the documentary stops, but Malva leaves us 6 hours of audiovisual material, 204 photos (dating from 1945 to 2015) and 37 stories and magazine´s notes. This event planted the germ of doubt regarding the form that our documentary should take. The notion of "foreshortening" was the indication that guides us in relation to the representation forms. This concept - developed by Marlene Wayar in her Latin American trans transvestite theory (2019) and by Ortega y Gasset within the topic “I am me and my circumstances” (1966) - constitutes, then, a challenge for thepoint of view of the documentary, in the sense that it allowed us to propose a new option when narrating the dissident from the audiovisual language.
