Abstract

BARZOLA, María Verónica. Construcción de la Pos-verdad en la Gráfica Política Latinoamericana. Cuad. Cent. Estud. Diseñ. Comun., Ensayos [online]. 2023, n.121, pp.14-22.  Epub Aug 23, 2023. ISSN 1853-3523.

This article addresses the phenomenon of post-truth in the political graphic design of Latin America, in the last two decades. Although it is not a new phenomenon, it has emerged much more strongly, on a regional scale, in the 21st century and with the rise of social networks. A large amount of the Latin American political graph campaign suffers from the Beck Effect, that is, a distortion of public information due to the simplification of its communication process, which leads audiences directly -or almost directly- towards the late modernity stage of post-truth.

Keywords : post-truth; political communication; Beck Effect..
