In recent years the state has favored acces to quality literary text for a greater number of readers through the material in provided to libraires and schools. This work starts from the initial question about what place was atributed to the literary education of teachers by public reading policies. To advance in the challenges and strategic ways of positioning teachers as leading actors in the promotion of reading, we propose three axes of analysis. The first includes the generals positions regarding public reading policies. The second advances on the displacements of the child and youth field in recent years that contribute to strengthening some issues related to literary teacher training. Finally, we will focus on the demands of the education system to train readers and the teacher’s tools to respond. The deployment of these axes together with the analysis of official documents and the implementation of a series of categories will allow us to form a state of affairs to review the modes of communication and the lines of action to come.
