Abstract

REGGIANI, Lucio J. Adansa. La inscripción de una marca de moda internacional vía OMPI. Cuad. Cent. Estud. Diseñ. Comun., Ensayos [online]. 2024, n.128, pp.41-57.  Epub Nov 11, 2023. ISSN 1853-3523.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18682/cdc.vi128.4853.

The process of Internationalization of a fashion brand requires a prior strategy in which the monetary resources available to allocate to the registry are valued, the urgency of filing applications in markets where the brand is already being marketed and the intention to expand exports of the product in the future and, consequently increasing the countries in which protection will have to be requested. The Madrid System is a useful and advantageous alternative for trademark owners who have a limited budget and require extensive brand protection, also giving them the ability to add designations at a later stage.
