Abstract
LONDONO GOMEZ, César Augusto. Un modelo de análisis para el territorio rural: El caso del eje cafetero colombiano. Cuad. urbano [online]. 2014, vol.16, n.16, pp.129-156. ISSN 1853-3655.
The construction of a model to interpret the AMCO rural area facilitates the understanding of the forms of occupation, understood as resulting firom a historical genesis. This knowledge can be key for future projects. The method of analysis is based on the relation-ship between the consistency of constructed settlement patterns and the area's physical geography in order to understand how they are combined to form a basis to sample por-tions of territory in order to derive abstract models of images of rural spaces. Five formal categories are part of the model: - Support structures; including road networks and botanical biomass. - Compact cores, as rural services settlements. - Linear arrays, which constitute forms of habitat on the slopes. - Cadastral mosaics, as forms of firagmentation of property and crop separation. - Connecting infirastructure linking the rural agricultural units and the underlying logics of occupation-related constructions.
