Abstract

VALDES, Paula  and  FOULKES, María Dora. Green Open Space and its Role in Regional Development. The Case of its Significance in the Recreational and Cultural Areas of Resistencia and its Extended Metropolitan Territory. Cuad. urbano [online]. 2016, vol.20, n.20. ISSN 1853-3655.

This study summarizes the main aspects of the work done regarding green infrastructure and its role in regional development. The objective of the research was to define the basic starting points and identify existing initiatives on green infrastructure as a key element in the definition of a sustainable territorial model at the regional level. The resulting con-clusions are applied to the city of Resistencia and its metropolitan region, resulting in a proposal for green axes for recreational and cultural functions as integral elements of the green infrastructure of the study area.
