Shantytown and shantytown housing in the political rationalities of Rosario's Municipal Executive Department's socialist authorities (1989-2007) The paper analyzes, between 1989 and 2007, the political rationalities of the housing policies of the Rosario Municipal Executive Department's socialist authorities to manage the habitat of, , the population living in the city's shantytowns. It follows the hypothesis that such rationales progressively incorporated reasoning and calculations associated with neoliberalism and workfareism tending to involve that population in housing improvement and alleviate their infrastructure and equipment defcit through regulatory tools that fostered the proft of private sector actors involved in the development of the housing market.
