Abstract

TOMMEI, Constanza I.  and  MANCINI, Clara E.. Normas y formas en un Paisaje Cultural UNESCO. La arquitectura y el urbanismo de Purmamarca (Quebrada de Humahuaca, Argentina). Cuad. urbano [online]. 2022, vol.33, n.33, pp.162-189. ISSN 1853-3655.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.30972/crn.33336235.

Purmamarca is in the Quebrada namesake, subsidiary to the Quebrada de Humahuaca .Jujuy, Argentina). This town registered patrimonial valuation and tourist increase in the last decades. In 2003, the Quebrada de Humahuaca was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Within the heritage limits, the town of Purmamarca stood out for having a Municipal Ordinance (N° 006/1971 and 02/2011) that delimit and regulate the constructions and uses of the urban space. The objective of this paper is to analyze how the regulations have favored the maintenance of certain architectural and morphological characteristics, and which others have deviated from the norm or were beyond its scope. The analysis of this document, and its comparison with the resulting forms, aims to contribute to the theoretical and empirical debate around the planning and management instruments according to a territory declared as a Cultural Landscape.
