Abstract

HIRSCHEGGER, Ivana. Social policies in a peripherial territory: change and persistence in the departamental General Perón (Mendoza) between 1950 and 1955. Estudios Socioterritoriales [online]. 2013, vol.14. ISSN 1853-4392.

This article fits within those lines of research studying the specific management of peronism in the Argentine provinces and aims to analyze the implementation national and provincial policies of a social nature in the peripheral municipalities of the South of the province of Mendoza during the first peronism. In addition, made an approach to the study of municipal autonomy during the same period, primarily to the availability of financial resources with that counted the commune to carry out proper municipal policies. We start from the hypothesis that in the South of Mendoza peripheral areas as it was General Perón (Malargüe), implemented policies that improved the living conditions of the population and the municipal Government experienced autonomous behaviors that contributed to this.

Keywords : Peronism; General Perón; social policies; municipality.
