Abstract

VELAZQUEZ, Guillermo  and  MANZANO, Fernando. Inmigration Dynamic and regional inequalities in Argentina (1947-2010). Estudios Socioterritoriales [online]. 2015, vol.17. ISSN 1853-4392.

Towards end of the 19th century, Argentina, such as agro-export country, had conferred a distinctly regional inequality to their economic development. Far from reversing this situation, the process of industrialization, he favored as a form of localization the proximity of markets consumers. The objective of this study is to investigate the behavior of provincial and regional inequalities over the past six decades, giving priority to the role of migration dynamics in this process. These inequalities cannot understand it as a situation of "transitional imbalance", as it could be explained within the framework of neoclassical economics. It is rather, structural situations, which are kept at the time, where the superiority of some regions is kept above other interdependent way. This process is carried forward cumulatively over time, reinforcing historically pre-existing inequalities.

Keywords : Inequality; Imbalance; Demographics; Economy and migration.
