Abstract

TOSCANA APARICIO, Alejandra  and  VILLASENOR FRANCO, Alma. The landscape configuration of Tlatelolco: Mexico City. Estudios Socioterritoriales [online]. 2018, vol.23. ISSN 1853-4392.

This study focuses on the landscape configuration of the Nonoalco-Tlatelolco Urban Complex in Mexico City, with special attention to the elements that testify power relations in the different historical periods (Prehispanic, Colonial, 19th Century, Modern Mexico and Contemporary Mexico) and that are part of the current landscape. Nonoalco-Tlatelolco is a neighborhood of pre-Hispanic origin that has been transformed and refuncionalized over the centuries in urban dynamics. The landscape, as a spatial category, shows the culture of the human groups that have affected it, of their yearnings, emotions, memories and power relations.

Keywords : Cultural Geography; Landscape; Urban Set Nonoalco-Tlatelolco.
