Abstract

CARDOSO, María Mercedes. Territorial inequalities in the northern rururban area of the city of Santa Fe: Analysis of differential vulnerabilities and multiterritorialities of bolivian-born horticulturists. Estudios Socioterritoriales [online]. 2018, vol.24. ISSN 1853-4392.

In the northern rururban area of the city of Santa Fe it is possible to find evidences of significant spatial contrasts. This research inquires about the main characteristics of unequal territories and the content of multiterritoriality. The object of study is define don't wo scales with different methodological designs: micro-regional, rururban, consisting of a quantitative approach by means of developing a synthetic indicator of socio-environmental vulnerability; and micro-social (dealing with bolivian-born horticulturists) conformed by a qualitative method. The cartographic representation of socio-environmental vulnerability provides a diagnosis and becomes a tool for managing this territory, which main risk consists of extreme hydrometeorological events. The analysis of socio-spatial transformations relative to bolivian horticulturists enables an approximation to the process of historical construction of multiterritorialities in a context of increased exposure.
