Abstract

BILBAO, Sofía; DONATELLO, Luis  and  GIORGI, Guido. Electoral representations and their (in) determinations. Soc. relig. [online]. 2020, vol.30, n.55, pp.339-339. ISSN 0326-9795.

The objective of this article is to describe some sociological factors that plays the electoral behavior, anchoring the analysis in the representations about the candidates chosen in the Argentine presidential elections of 2015. In this sense we compare electoral 2015´s electoral results with data obtained from Segunda Encuesta Nacional de Creencias y Actitudes Religiosas en la Argentina in 2019, with the intention to show the data production process. Then, with the proposal to build difference in the population, we try link to cross electoral representations with religious self-perception, sociodemographic variables, region of residence and size of the city, citizen participation, ethical-political opinions linked to abortion or drugs´s consume. Our conclusion is that it is difficult to find regularities that allow us to establish determinants on electoral representation from a quantitative approach like the one we develop in this article. Therefore, we urge to study the phenomenon from the qualitative approach as an analytical alternative.

Keywords : Electoral representation; religious self-perception; sociodemographic variables; ethical-political opinions; vote´s indeterminacy.
