Four species ofChaetosphaeriawere collected during a survey on the biodiversity of microfungi growing on bark and decorticated wood ofPodocarpus parlatoreiin Argentina. A new variety,Chaetosphaeria hispidavar.podocarpi,is proposed.Chaetosphaeria abietis,C. montana,C. vermicularioidesare reported as new records for Argentina. All species are described and illustrated. Along with data on geographical distribution, habitat and notes on the described fungi, a dichotomous key for the known species in Argentina is provided.
