Abstract

To date, 27 species from five fungi genera of Xylariales are known to grow onOcotea porphyria“laurel del cerro”. New studies allowed to increase the knowledge of the fungi associated with this host, including here first reports ofHypoxyloncf.brevisporumandH. pulicicidumfor the country. In addition,Entonaema liquescensandXylaria pseudoapiculataare recorded, and new information is provided on the morphological characteristics of the teleomorphic phase ofX. myosurus, which was possible due to the discovery of new populations.
