Eleocharis acutangula(Roxb.) Schult., subsp.brevisetaJ. D. Rosen is cited for the first time for the flora of Argentina. This study provides a brief morphological description and identification key withE. acutangula(Roxb.) Schult. subsp.acutangula,a figure of the general aspect and the achenes of both subspecies and a description of their ecology and distribution in Argentina.
