Abstract

CANIZARES, Brian. Corporate Social Responsibility and "Social Question": Critical Contributions Regarding a Case Report. Temas debates (En línea) [online]. 2016, n.32, pp.99-108. ISSN 1853-984X.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) constitutes a strategy commonly considered as a novelty regarding the attention of social problems. Very often it consists on corporate programs linked to a charitable and caring mission according to which enterprises should be able to act responsibly and committed with equality and social justice. Our proposal intends to settle some reflection points over the implications of corporate programs and their significance in late capitalism context, trying to problematize the discussion and attempting to construct critical-reflexive analysis as opposed to lobbyist and promotional propaganda from corporations and economic groups. On that intention, a brief review of the origin context of CSR in Argentina is presented, along with a case analysis regarding some characteristics from social programs of an important oil company settled in San Jorge Gulf, northern Santa Cruz.

Keywords : CSR; Social question; Santa Cruz; Enterprise; Work.
