Abstract

SOWTER, Leandro. The Experience of the Congress of Productivity and the Economic Cooperation Policy of Peronism. Temas debates (En línea) [online]. 2016, n.32, pp.135-154. ISSN 1853-984X.

This article examines the National Congress of Productivity and Social Welfare experience and rediscusses some of its characterizations. It argues that this iniciative was not just an intent to change laboral relations, but also constituted the culmination of a sociopolitic strategy that aimed, on the one hand, to modify interaction parameters of the socioeconomic actors on the productive level and the symbolic place that they occupied in the "organized community", and, on the other hand, to legitimate under productivity guidelines the Peronist state economic intervention. From the revision of documents and discourses of the period it is shown that this Congress was part of a strategy that, through a particular modus operandi, tried to make that the participation of the socioeconomic actors in the State improved effectiviness of the economic policy in the context of the industrial-distributive substitution model.

Keywords : Peronism; Productivity; Economic intervention; Legitimacy.
