Abstract

In this paper we propose to investigate the strategic occupations built by the pentecostal-evangelical religious device in contexts of confinement in terms of the role they play in government tactics exercised by the prison service in Argentina. Its appears with the democratic recovery in 1983 and its consolidates from the negative effects caused by prison. In that sense, we will analyze the historical, political, legal and institutional variables in the beginning and consolidation of religious device, the social order and the pentecostal narratives in church-pavilions to recognize their terms, constraints and potentialities for the reconfiguration of power relations in prisons today.
