Abstract
CAILA, Mercedes and GOMEZ, Silvia. Uncertainty in Times of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Temas debates (En línea) [online]. 2020, n.40, suppl.1, pp.63-67. ISSN 1853-984X.
The planet is currently facing a pandemic that in some parts of the world has worsened the difficult socioeconomic crisis they were undergoing. We believe it is necessary to point out that the delicate environmental situation we are confronting is never mentioned in most political addresses. This problem is the direct consequence of productive and predatory practices caused by capitalism which brought about instability in social and natural systems. This disequilibrium has not helped people or nations to find efficient solutions. The need to improve the relationship with our environment has been acknowledged by a large part of the community. They consider this a historic opportunity to change the way in which we interact with production and consumption into a more sustainable one, generating cultural rules that respect biodiversity and reduce the anthropic impact.
