Abstract

D’ALESSANDRO, Martín  and  GANTUS, Diego J.. Problems and Challenges of Teaching Political Science in Argentina. Temas debates (En línea) [online]. 2021, n.41, pp.131-152. ISSN 1853-984X.

Despite the sustained processes of growth and institutionalization of political science in Argentina, the problems related to undergraduate university teaching have not been addressed as other disciplinary dimensions. This article offers the results of a cycle of conferences on the subject, and the results of a survey on threats, violence and harassment in political science classrooms. It is argued that although the challenges are relatively similar throughout the Argentine territory, their approaches and the proposed solutions have no coordination, and that the situation of respect for women and students in general is both serious and constant along time.

Keywords : Teaching; Political science; Argentina; Violence; Harassment.
