This article exposes an experience of developing a course on information skills and tools for academic publishing for university teachers, based on the new roles that librarians have assumed, especially in the concept of integrated librarian, in terms of information literacy and the diversification of support services for research and publication. This course is part of the Teaching Improvement Plan and is characterized by being a practice of integration of the university library to the teaching-learning processes, also linking it as an advisor in academic publishing. Likewise, the collaboration between librarians with academic units linked to innovation and educational technologies is described. Finally, the technological tools used for the construction of the course are described and the result of this experience is evidenced, together with the future challenges and opportunities that arise as a result of the library integration in the training processes.
