Abstract

CERETTA SORIA, María Gladys et al. La producción de mensajes escritos en estudiantes de enseñanza secundaria: diálogo entre alfabetización en información y prácticas letradas. Palabra clave [online]. 2023, vol.12, n.2, e187. ISSN 1853-9912.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.24215/18539912e187.

Based on an investigation carried out in public secondary schools in Montevideo (Uruguay) that consisted to make a diagnosis on information literacy in students of 1st grade, we propose to approach the production of texts based on the analysis of messages produced by the students. The task involves the information collected during an information search process, which must be shared with the recipient of the message. Based on the aforementioned analysis, it is expected to investigate the relationship between information literacy and the literacy practices of secondary school students and to know what criteria they consider relevant to prepare the texts, and how they selected the information found. For the elaboration of the diagnosis, a form was built, based on the stages of “Modelo Pindó” of Information Literacy, where an information problem to be solved is posed and the students have to solved it in relation to the search, selection, evaluation and communication of information. We select a sample of thirteen high schools in the department of Montevideo. The results of the present research show an approximation to the comprehension process that students carry out about what they read and how they translate it into a message.
