Abstract

KRAWCZYK, Nora. A historicidade da pesquisa em política educacional: o caso do Brasil. Propuesta educativa (Online) [online]. 2013, n.39, pp.35-42. ISSN 1995-7785.

Research on education in Brazil confirms itself as a field of study since 1940 and its development intensifies with the institutionalization of graduate education, which differentiates it from other countries in a Strong association between the activities of professional training and the production of knowledge. Education understood as a social practice, intimately tied to historically determine social relations, requires different disciplinary approaches and a transdisciplinary view for its understanding and analysis. In the Brazilian case, studies of educational policies received a strong influence of school administration theories and of philosophy and in a lesser measure from sociology and history. This article analyzes the trajectory of political educational research in Brazil, from the specific national and international histories, from the tensions between the academic field and the field of political action, and the challenges confronting it. We analyze to what extent its historicity is present in the perspectives of the researchers and are expressed in the choices of themes, in the definition of categories and in the assumptions from which the reality is interpreted.
