Abstract

GLUZ, Nora  and  RODRIGUEZ MOYANO, Inés. Lo que la escuela no mira, la AUH "non presta: Experiencia escolar de jóvenes en condición de vulnerabilidad social. Propuesta educativa (Online) [online]. 2014, n.41, pp.63-73. ISSN 1995-7785.

The article analyzes the construction requirements of the school experience of young people from vulnerable sectors, since the implementation in 2009, of the Universal Child Allocation for Social Protection policy (Asignación Universal por Hijo, AUH) in Argentina. The AUH differs from the 90's sectorial interventions for proposing a more comprehensive state responsibility towards the fulfillment of the health and education conditions that the measure provides. But this policy arrives to schools in the context of two important and contradictory transformations: the extension of mandatory schooling and educational segregation, product of targeted policies of the 90's and compensatory distinction strategies of families. Given these conditions, we question the processes of on policies redefiniton at an institutional level and actors because they are the locus through them take place the contribution of the measure to the democratization of education.

Keywords : Universal Child Allocation; Social and educational inequality; School experience; Argentina.
