Abstract

This paper draws on a historical perspective to explore teacher´s mutations and changes in Colombia. It explores transformations since the public teacher who appears in school, in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century, to the teacher function that modulates time and space in contemporary schooling. The paper risks a political regard about that subjectivity which varies from the preeminence of methodological skills to the commitments demanded today by educapital, performance society, optimization devices and the learning to learn speed.
