Abstract

The article discusses the need for review of career plans and the working conditions of education professionals today in Brazil, referencing in national and international studies that address the issue. From data research seeks to demonstrate some urgent problems involving the issue and present challenges to overcome it or urgent response. Among the main problems to be faced, we highlight the little attention given to new subject teachers who have worked in day care centers and public schools from new policies of expansion and coverage of educational provision. Moreover, the need to overcome the contradictions arising from the great inequality and diversity of conditions offered by public systems in the context of a federative structure, which surely involves a broader discussion on the financing and distribution of resources among federal entities.
