Abstract

BENDRATH, Eduard Angelo. Convergências e distanciamentos na educação não- formal: uma análise dos relatórios da UNESCO. Propuesta educativa (Online) [online]. 2016, n.45, pp.69-80. ISSN 1995-7785.

This research paper is the result of the author’s doctoral thesis, comprising the need for further studies in the field of non-formal education policies around the world. Thus, from the expansion of educational movements parallel to the formal system of education, educational activities focusing on human and economic development processes have become important tools for solving local problems. Such assumptions align to international political conceptions currently in force in an attempt to match economic growth with social development, boosting therefore new guidelines in the construction of arrays of nonformal education around the world. This study took as a parameter the UNESCO document analysis in 30 countries whose aim was to analyze the non-formal education policies face the economic and social contexts, implying possibilities for adjustments to the objectives of the global agenda. It was observed that the actions follow patterns of convergence and distancing between countries based on preidentified specific issues which favors actions and interventions of international organizations in gaps left by the state.

Keywords : Non-Formal Education; UNESCO; Educational Policy.
