Abstract

CARLI, Sandra. Deconstruir la profesión académica: tendencias globales y figuras históricas: Una exploración de las biografías académicas de profesoras universitarias. Propuesta educativa (Online) [online]. 2016, n.45, pp.81-90. ISSN 1995-7785.

In this paper I formulate a characterization and to make a critical analysis of academic work at public universities in Argentina in the presence of the needs and demands related to the processes of professionalization and evaluation methods. This inquiry arises from the interest in exploring the changes in the production, transmission and appropriation of knowledge processes from a historical perspective that seeks to recognize the scope and specific features of contemporary university experience at an era of significant dispersion. From the contributions of intellectual history, social history of knowledge and the biographical turn, this paper argues that the reconstruction of the life stories of teachers opens new perspectives of analysis in order to give visibility to the interstices of academic work and to analyze the incidence of global regulation of the profession in generational trajectories in the comprehensive framework of history and institutional culture of universities.
